WILL YOU PLEASE CREATE AN OPTION TO OPEN LINKS IN NEW WINDOWS INSTEAD OF TABS IN EDGE BROWSER?

I AM GOING TO START COUNTING THE NUMBER OF TIMES I HAVE HAD TO START EMAIL AGAIN BECAUSE YOU DON'T EVEN WARN THAT MORE THAN ONE TAB IS BEING CLOSED. PLEASE, CREATE AN OPTION TO OPEN LINKS IN NEW WINDOWS FROM ANY GIVEN PAGE INSTEAD OF A NEW TAB.

Open Pin to Start links in new Edge window instead of tab


I have a lot of Web Page applications that I use for my job. For each webpage I do a "Pin to Start" which creates a quick link from the start menu.

With IE each of these links would open in a new window, but with Edge they open in a new tab on the existing Edge window.

Is there a setting to change this in Edge?

I have a multiple monitors and it is more productive to be able to have these web pages open in their own window. Now I have to open my link, then tear the tab off to create separate windows.

 

Edge not opening links in new tab

Both suggestions just open the link in a new window.

The only way I can open a link in a new tab is by right-clicking on the link and selecting the option, but I never had to do this before. It's only recently that Edge has started doing this. Is anyone else having this issue or is it just me?

I prefer my links to open in a new tab; there's very little point in opening them in a whole new window as things soon get messy.

Microsoft Edge - Link Opens In Same Tab/Force Browser To Open New Tab

Hello,

I can not find a solution to this and I was hoping someone would know the answer. I have users in my company that are complaining about a URL link opening in the same tab. This causes what they were working on to be erased.

Let me provide more detail:
These users are using a call system in order to input tickets. If they do not finish the ticket and a new call comes in, a new ticket will pop up deleting their old ticket they were working on.

I have suggested they finish the ticket before taking a new call. I have also suggested that they keep notes outside of the ticket system, but they are determined to change the browser setting like we did in IE. (I even suggested getting the call manager provider on the phone) ... They really want to change the way Microsoft Edge handles opening a new website.

Does anyone know how to change these settings like we were able to in IE?
