Windows 10: Win 10 1511 update to any newer version while retaining user information?

My PC is still running Win 10 v1511 and wont update for the life of me!


Has anyone suceeded to update from Win 10 1511 to any 19xx supported version?


I get a blue screen that i have to update "cauz this version is not supported anymore blah blah". And sometimes , even with the update service disabled now goes ahead and downloads 3gb worth of update files . WHICH WONT UPDATE THE PC, haha.


Tried the "normal" update, tried offline update with several 19xx & 18xx isos. Nothing.

Either tries to download the "latest" updates and then gets stuck .

Or sometimes completes but then rolls buck to 1511 on first or second reboot.


Even tried an old iso dvd i had from 2016!!! - i didnt even know what version was there but tried that anyway. I have flushed the Upgrade cache dir and tried a few other "hacks" i i found here like disabling Cortana


I am not doing a fresh installe,Please dont suggest that.


Again i need a working method to update 1511 to any version that doesnt give me " this version is not supported anymore" nag screens...

Win 10 1511 update to Win 10 1903

Had to resurrect a PC with an old disk image (3 years old!). Now the version on the PC is Win 10 Pro
1511 and it won't update because it is out of date.

Has anyone try to update from Win 10 1511, or another out of date version, up to Win 10 1903 while retaining user information? Only way I see would involve a clean install that wipes my apps. Using the Windows 10 Upgrade program installs but then reverts
back to 1511.

Before I just wipe this thing clean and start anew, I could use some experience.

 

Windows 10 update error

I recently tried to update my Win 10 1511 (10586.713 ) to 1601 and after several restarts it arrived at the screen that covers the log in screen and then it restarts with the message " restoring previous version ".After it started , the updater displayed a message " failed to migrate user data after second boot". Any ideas?

 

Outlook will not retain settings after Windows 10 1511 Update

My Outlook will not retain any settings after the 1511 update, i.e. I'll set the reading pane, but after reboot it forgets, same with picture download settings, etc. Any suggestions?
