    Win 10 1909 many programs showing blank windows


    Hi. I recently faced issue of blank windows in some programs.

    First I noticed in Malwarebytes. Their support gave a way to turn of hardware acceleration and now it works fine.

    2nd CCleaner main page of 'Health Check' is blank while other pages are visible perfectly.

    Then I got the same issue when I was uninstaling Intel Driver and Support application.

    Also all the Windows apps like settings/defender etc are unable to scroll down. The slider moves but the page doesn't move.


    For solutions I have done the following:

    1. Updated Windows to latest 1909 version with all other updates also.
    2. Updated Lenovo Update & Drivers to the latest and then updated all drivers including Intel HD Graphics with it.
    3. Ran sfc /scannow and chkdsk. Also ran DISM
    4. Tried updating an entry in Registry for Avalon.graphics to DisableHWAcceleration but did not do anything so reverted it.
    5. Ran Full scans from Windows Defender and Malwarebytes to clean the machine of any junk/malware.

    Please help me with any other solutions I can try. You can see the config of my machine in the CCleaner snapshot above.

    Windows 10 1909 Causes Secondary Hard Drive to not be Recognized

    Installing the Windows 10 1909 Update causes my secondary hard drive to not be recognized.

    Steps to confirm issue:

    • Secondary drive not visible in Windows Explorer
    • Secondary drive not visible in device manager
    • Secondary drive not visible in disk manager

    Steps to replicate issue:

    • Installing 1909 update

    Steps to resolve issue:

    • Uninstall 1909 update

    Since updates can only be delayed for so long, an actual fix would be appreciated.

    Windows 10 pro 1903 will not update to Win 10 Pro 1909

    Notes:

    1) Computer originaly used Win 7 Pro OA (OEM)

    2) Reformatted the HD

    3) Used Win10 Pro version 1903 to install on the Win 7 Pro OA (OEM) based computer.

    4) Used the OA Product Key that was listed on the Computers Case.

    5) Installation completed.
    Program confirms activation is valid.

    6) Win 10 Pro will not list an available upgrade to Win 10 pro version 1909.

    Why did the startup window get cleared?

    I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.
