attempts to install 22H2, results in the notice: Your device is missing important security and quality fixes.

I need the 22H2 update so my other software will update.

HIstory of steps taken to date:

1st run of windows update for the 22H2 update, brought down files but install process failed, identifying a 0xc1900101 error. Rebooted and tried again. same error message/number. Looking up the error number, MS support forums indicated this error number probably is related to a 3rd party driver error.

I disabled Norton 360 for gamers. Manually created a "pre 22h2 troubleshoot" restore point. Tried windows update again, same error message.

I ran Dell UPdate, which identified 2 critical and 5 options updates. I allowed all updates, including display and audio driver updates. Dell UPdate created a 2nd restore point, installed the updates successfully, and restarted the laptop.

At reboot, i was required to reset my pin due to security changes during the Dell UPdate. I reset it to the same pin as previous. Successfully logged back in to windows10.

Retried windows update: and received the "missing important security and quality fixes", with no feature updates listing below it.

re-ran DelUPdate for any additional updates. Dell created a 3rd restore point as part of the scan. Scan completed, and was notified all was up to date.

Using device Manager: I worked down the list manually, and requested driver updates. The only driver to update was a ."system firmware driver", which was updated to 01.00.06 version.

Restarted windows

Back to windows update, windows still shows the "missing important security and quality fixes".

So at this point there are 3 restore points available, 1 i created and 2 DellUpdate created. Presumably I can restore to any of these points, but will still be lacking the ability to update to 22h2.

Of NOTE: the previous update KB4589211 was problematic in the same way (with the same message), and someone else fixed that for me, but the very next update is the 22H2, which now has the same display message again. So we seem to be back at the same problem, seemingly no related to the update # itself but to the updating???

presently running Win10 Updating Assistant tool, results pending. (but not hopeful)

at a loss...

Please help.

Windows updates are available, however the system does not update these nor lets me do it manually. This message shows: Your device is missing important security and quality fixes, and a list of 6 pending download updates are listed below.

I followed the steps I could find in this community from other users having similar difficulties in the past and it didn't fix it.

Please help.
