Windows 10: Win 10 22H2 upgrade to Windows 11 failed: 0xd0000034 Failed to add user mode driver...

I recently reinstalled Windows 10 on my laptop and tried to upgrade it to Windows 11, but it failed.There is nothing installed on the laptop aside from Windows and Thinkpad Vantage. Windows 10 was installed via a recovery key. I'm installing Win 11 via a key containing the OS created from Microsoft.I have updated Windows, BIOS and drivers to the very latest versions of each. Not sure how to resolve the issue. Windows 10 to 11 upgrade failed

Attempting to upgrade from Windows 10 to 11 and it continues to fail despite my several attempts.

Event log indicates error 0xC1900101

When attempting to update via windows update, it gets as far as rebooting several times, then to about 90% and fails and rolls back the changes

When using the Win11 22H2 ISO, it just crashes at around 90%

Step I have taken so far:

• PC health cleared
  
• sfc
  
• dism
  
• Reset windows update components
  
• Update via windows 11 22H2 ISO
  
• Updated drivers
  
• Updated BIOS
  
• Disabled Windows defender AV
  
• Clean boot
  
• Removed all peripherals
  

Most recent SetupDiag result: Microsoft OneDrive

I'm really hoping to avoid a clean install at this point, so any advice on what to try next or any issues that can be gleaned from the SetupDiag would be helpful. I also have the zip of the setup files from the SetupDiag should that be necessary

(I am also just noticing that windows seems to think I'm still using Avast antivirus which hasn't been installed in quite some time. I ran avastclear just now and removed any traces)

 

Upgrade Win 10 to Win 11 failed

Have PC with 4 partition managed by EasyBCD,

1. Boot partition (500M, active partition)

2. Win 7 (140G)

3. Win 10 (120G, my production machine, boot by default)

4. Win 7 (140G, play partition)

Recently try to upgrade partition 3 to Win 11. Upgrade steps seem to work smoothly until it reach 100%.

Then I get message "PC will restart in few moments"

Then I get "Win11 installation has failed"

I check the srttraic.txt file and found the folloing:

"Root cause found: No OS files found on disk

Repair action: Partition table repair

Result: Failed error code 0X20"

However, I seem to have no problem to boot my Win10 without error even the installation has failed.

Some trouble shooting from my side.

1. I am able to boot Win 7 or Win 7 (play partition) if I use a disk manager to set these partition to active.

2. I am not able to do so if I set Win 10 partition as active, I have to set the 500M boot partition and select Win 10 from boot menu.

3. I boot Win 10 installation disk from USB and try to repair my Win10 partition, but repair failed.

4. I backup the whole disk, set Win 7 partition as active, I can upgrade this partition from Win 7 to Win 10 and to Win 11.

5. Si I believe my PC hardware is no problem to support Win 11.

How can I recover my Win 10 partition without loosing my application so It can be boot without the boot partition?

 

Windows 11 upgradation from windows 10 using Windows 11 Installation Assistant is failing.

I'm trying to upgrade Windows 10 to Windows 11 using Windows 11 Installation assistant but it is always failing in step 3 i.e.; installation step. It always fails at 71% of the installation. It doesn't give any error message. When it reach 71%, screen goes black and system automatically restart. I have even tried it after running is as administration mode but even that didn't work.

P.S: I once declined the Windows 11 upgradation.
