Windows 10: Win 10 32 bit to Win 10 64 bit

    Win 10 32 bit to Win 10 64 bit


    I am wanting to upgrade my wife's comp from win 10 32 bit to win 10 64 bit, her win 10 is activated. I've downloaded the Win 10 64 bit ISO to my machine (Win 10 64 bit).
    Do I just burn the ISO to DVD and then boot my wife's machine with that or do I mount it on my machine and burn the mounted files to DVD.

    So if I understand you correctly -

    First I do the free upgrade to win 10 32 bit online .

    Then I -

    # 1 - go back to the online win 10 install .

    # 2 - do a fresh install of win 10 (but this time the 64 bit) over the 32 bit version ?

    Will it be free when I change the Win 10 32 bit to the Win 10 64 bit ?

    I had win 7 32 bit and have been upgraded to win 10 32 bit, to get win 10 64 bit do I need to downgrade to my original win 7 32 bit and then use the win10 64 bit tool to create an install disk or is there an easier way? Is it best to reformat and clean
    install seven?

    Win 10 32 bit to Win 10 64 bit

    Right click on the ISO file and select "Burn disc image"

    That will make a bootable DVD. Then you boot her computer with the DVD and do a clean install, which will wipe out all her programs and data. Better make sure she is OK with that or I hope your couch is comfortable.
