    Win 10 Audio Failure


    Hey all!

    My PC crashed, and upon restarting, my audio isn't working (no audio device is installed). I did the usual diagnostic stuff - drivers have been uninstalled and reinstalled, troubleshooter run, device manager checked. All for no improvement. Right now, my audio devices are showing in Device Manager, but the device status is Code 39: The driver may be corrupted or missing.

    Again, I reinstalled the drivers - Both from the manufacturer websites and through Windows - to no avail. Any thoughts or suggestions?

    The Ultimate Realtek HD Audio Driver Mod for Windows 10

    Hey Dj Urko, I am trying to install the realtek driver and I get the error 0x0001. I have disabled secure boot and Driver signature. I have the latest win 10 build. What am I doing wrong? Can u post the complete list of steps that I have to take? I have an asus z170 with alc1150.

    Everyone that post ids, need just do these steps and you will be good. I kinda tired of keep on uploading the inf. file

    1.Go Open up device manager
    2. Go under sound,video, and game controllers
    3. Find Realtek High Definition Audio
    4. Right click and hit update driver
    5. Browse my computer for driver software
    6. Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer
    7. Click Have Disk and hit browse
    8. Click on the Realtek HD Audio mod folder and look for win64
    9. Click on the HDXRT4 and click ok,
    10. Click Next and Yes
    additional if you want dts audio and others, install it now before next step.
    After it is done, restart the PC

    You should be good then and also make sure before doing these steps that you have driver enforcement disabled.

    We suggest that you run troubleshooting for Audio Recording by following these steps:

    • Type troubleshooting on the search box.
    • Click View all.
    • Select Recording Audio.
    • Follow the steps to troubleshoot Recording Audio.
