Windows 10: Win 10 automatically activated on Mac after fresh reset? how?

I had windows 10 activated on my mac (via bootcamp), then I completely deleted the bootcamp partition (to expand it) and reinstalled win 10. Once installed, Windows automatically activated citing "digital entitlement". How does this work?

Windows 10 Licence key upgrade?

I just upgraded from Win 7 Pro to Win 10 Pro. It seems that after you install and activate the Win 1o upgrade, your Windows 10 key will change automatically. Make note of that new key (ie by using Belarc Advisor) and use the new key to reactivate Win 10
in the future after fresh reinstall.

I was having an LG laptop with genuine win 7 license. The time win 10 had been released i updated my windows and got activated perfectly. A while my device got damaged and a bought a new mac air laptop.

Is it possible to use the same old windows license?.

I am having my win 7 product key. Is it possible to get the win 10 equivalent product key keeping a note that mac bootcamp will not allow installation of win7. So i am obliged to install a fresh win10 copy.

The activation of W10 is recorded by MS and saved on their activation server so when installed on the same system it knows it has been activated before on that system and this is the "digital entitlement"
