    Win 10 Blocking port 80

One of my Win 10 laptops has suddenly stopped web pages from being viewed.

Have scanned the network and even local http servers are not showing http availability.

The troubleshooter says it is unable to connect to the router despite it pinging ok on 192.168.1.1

Cannot open the router’s setup page on the laptop.

All other PCs work fine on the same WiFi connection.

Nothing detected on Win virus scan.

    Any ideas?

    :)

  2. System process blocks Port 80

You clearly don't understand the problem here. But I was able to solve it by doing the following:

    • Activate IIS
    • In Services disable the IIS service
    • Reboot
    • Port 80 is no longer blocked by the System process

  3. System process blocks Port 80

First of all: I'm running the latest version of Windows 10 Pro.

After upgrading Windows 10 to the Creators update the System process (PID 4) always blocks Port 80. If I enable IIS it works perfectly fine, once I disable it Port 80 is blocked again. When accessing Port 80 via HTTP the reply is
a 404 error, the Server Header says Microsoft-HTTPAPI/2.0.

I have already tried (all) possible solutions that can be found via Google:

    - Disabling WWW Publishing Service

    - Disabling SQL Server Reporting Services (I don't have a service like this running on my PC)

    - Running "net stop http" via Admin CMD

This issue is super annoying and just makes me want to delete Windows.

    Win 10 Blocking port 80

http binds to port 80 in Win 10, and cannot be disabled

That's exactly what I've done, but I should have the choice of what's running on port 80. Also, it took me a while to work out why Apache wouldn't start, and assumed that it was a Win 10 incompatibility; It should be the Windows services that avoid port 80, not the user!
