Windows 10: Win 10 boot failure of SSD - I/O error

Hi community, all of the sudden my pc does not boot anymore from my SSD drive Intenso 450GB and reports I/O error. First, I thought of a broken or damaged SSD, but if I launch the Ubuntu live version, the SSD disk with all the folders and files are accessible. The only thing is that SMART is reporting some 728 bad sectors. Because of that, I tried the SSD in a second pc with windows 10.Here windows recognices the disk in the device manager stating that the ssd is working properly. However, I cannot access it with windows explorer or other tools. Again, reporting I/O errors.It is very likel

Error Message when updating from Win-7 to Won-10

I followed your suggestions (2nd Aug 19) for installing Win-10. Made the bootable flash drive successfully through the media creation tool. But when I attempted to upgrade and activate to Win-10 (64 bit) from within Win-7 (Pro-32 bit), I got the following error message:

Error # OxC1900101-Ox20017. " The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during BOOT operation"

I read the diagnostics under this error number and carried out the proposed fixes, i.e. update Win-7, uninstall Malwarebyte antivirus, disconnect all external hardware, e.g. printer, scanner, external hard drives. I then tried to repeat the steps to do the upgrade through the Win-10 bootable flash drive as before. Got the same error message.
Appreciate any further comments and suggestions as to (a) what does a failure in the SAFE_OS during boot operation mean, (b) what can I do to solve it. Is this anything to do with the hardware in my computer? I listed these in my first posting above.

Error 0xc000000e - Multi-boot Win 10 SSD Win 8.1, 7 Vista

I have a multi boot system. My main new install is win 10 uefi/gpt Raid 0. I still have my previous installs of Win 10, 8.1, 7, Vista on 2 separate SSD's, in MBR
I am using the Win 10 boot manager. Win 8.1 and vista boot fine. With the Win 10 (not raid 0 ver) I get the boot error \Windows\system32\winload.exe error 0xc000000e.
I have booted to 2 USB stick versions of win 10(one uefi gpt, other mbr) to attempt startup repair. I do not get a list of OS's to select for repair. I think that is because the main Win 10 raid 0 is GPT not MBR.
I seem to remember that if I copy a couple files from a working OS to anther it fixes this problem. I might be wrong.
Any suggestions to get the non raid versions of win10 to boot? (we'll work on 7 later)

Interesting that it works on that oldie but goody laptop.

I don't notice any speed lags with Win-10 TP, but I'm using it on an i5-4670K system with an SSD for the boot drive, so it's snappy.
