Windows 10: Win 10 cant see Printer Scanner

I have a Canon all in one printer scanner MX535. It was working perfectly until I had to do a win 10 re install, completely cleared out c drive. I installed PSE9 which I use for all my photos and scans. It refused to work, so I uninstalled and reinstalled both the printer, then pse9. Still no good. But can scan through 'image garden' part of the canon software so - canon talks to canon but not win 10 to printer.

I installed windows scan from MS, but it keeps telling me I have to put a scanner in first, its in - and on. So that got me thinking, the problem is win 10, its not pse9 or canon. Control panel shows printer installed. I tried it on a usb connection, it worked but I want WIA, which PSE9 tells me it is missing???

So it must be win 10. My router is fine and can see printer. I have tried win update, so am up to date there.

Just put laptop on told it, using win scan, to work, it worked fine.

Just bought a new laptop but win 10 cant find my HP 6800 all in one printer. It recognises the scanner part,

should've said network printers are Hp photosmart and Officejet, have checked drivers for Win 10 with HP and no update required and Win 10 Fax n Scanner still saying cant find scanner.

Win 10 Printing still working ok and my Win 7 desktop printing and scanning off the same home network OK?

 

When you installed the scanner/printer AiO were you asked to enter the network details (SSID & passphrase)? If not then you may have to run set up again & choose wireless connection.

I found my HP 2400 scanner is no longer compatible after a clean install of Win 10.

 

I seem to have posts missing from this thread??? I fixed it by moving a file in PSE9 from one folder to another. It was all here in the posts?????
