    Win 10: Cursor nowhere to be found upon installation


    I downgraded from 11 to 10, and had to do the installation process using just keys because the cursor was missing and resetting didn't work.I can't update the mouse driver because in device manager I don't have the "mice and other devices" option.Would love to provide specific model but navigating without a cursor is nigh impossible. It's a Lenovo ideapad laptop. The touch pad isn't responding at all including to wake up the screen so I think that might be the root of the issue.Fn + F3/ Fn + F5/ Fn + F9/ Fn + F11 isn't doing anythingAnything helps thanks

    cursor dissappeared

    Thank you both for your prompt replies, I tried all steps listed, some I had tries previously but I still tried them again, but still no cursor.

    Do you have any other suggestions?

    Hey Dj Urko, I am trying to install the realtek driver and I get the error 0x0001. I have disabled secure boot and Driver signature. I have the latest win 10 build. What am I doing wrong? Can u post the complete list of steps that I have to take? I have an asus z170 with alc1150.

    The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

    Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.
