Win 10 - device manager- how do I restore missing sound, video, or game controllers?


I have both internal and external speakers. Last week they all worked. Then I installed DroidCam and after one use decided it wasn't for me, so I uninstalled it. Now both of my speaker options have disappeared from device manager and the computer does not recognize any sound output device, even after I disconnect and reconnect the external speakers.


Any suggestions?

Hi Sachin, thanks for this. Unfortunately the only system restore point on offer is from after the problem started. I tried it but no change - still no class of 'sound video and games controllers' in my device manager and no way to update the drivers.
Any other ideas?

It happened recently within a month or so. The sound used to work. I tried to install drivers but I don't even have the sound tab anymore. The troubleshooter doesn't do anything it says can't detect the problem.
