Win 10 does not display some windows correctly

    Hi guys,

I have bought a Lenovo yoga 2 pro 2 weeks ago and upgraded win 8 to win 10 almost immediately. I have had this issue for some time, when I install some software. Some buttons are blocked or the text is too small. I have been having resolution problems as well which I solved by adjusting it but this issue doesn't go with changing it.
    Here what it looks like:

Does anyone know how to fix it or what might be the cause?
    Thanks in advance!

    :)

Windows 10 Time Changes at Startup

My desktop PC recently upgraded to win10 has issues with time.

I can set the bios time to correct local time. Start win 10 and it displays the correct time. I then work for a bit and shut down the computer. When I return later and start the computer, win 10 displays the current time as the time when I last shut down
the computer. Looking at the bios again I see the time is no longer accurate but still vastly different to the time that win 10 displays.

My system dual boots win 10 and Linux Mint. If I set the bios time correctly then boot to linux the time is correct. Shut down linux, wait a while and restarting linux does not affect time like win 10 does. It is always correct in the bios and correctly
displayed by linux. Only when I restart in win 10 does the clock seem to get corrupted and the bios time altered. It doesn't make sense for any windows process to save the time at shutdown and then continue on from that time when windows restarts.

Please don't tell me to set my region, time zone, and sync with a service. It's all done. This is something else.

I cannot find a logical reason for win 10 to use the time of the last windows shutdown as the current time of the latest windows startup. And why win 10 alters bios time???? That alone is a worry that bios time is tampered with by win10!

I need a fix for this strange behaviour. Any help is very much appreciated.

  3. Want to upgrade Win 7 to Win 10 but I have a square screen monitor

I want to upgrade from Win 7 to Win 10. I have a square screen monitor at native resolution 1280 x 1024. Display adaptor is NVidia GeForce GT 610. Will Win 10 display correctly on this monitor? I have tried looking for answers and have seen that some people
have had certain problems with display after upgrading, some with widescreen not looking right.

I'd be grateful for advice. I'd like to get the update done before the free offer ends, if possible. But if there's doubts I'll simply stick with Win 7 which I like very much.

Win 10 does not display some windows correctly

Is that a game or something? Older games do have issues as the drivers for the graphics card aren't designed for older games or programs.

I tried installing the fallout series on my computer. The install program displayed correctly in Windows 8.1, but not Windows 10. Although after updating the drivers, it displayed fine.

Are all programs having this issue with you?

Thanks for your reply! It's sims 3 I think which is not quite old and today I am installing the sims 4 which is displayed just as odd:

Win 10 does not display some windows correctly [IMG]

and sims 4 is not that old really... It also happened with a new version of mediaget, and because I couldn't see it properly it also installed some additional annoying software*Smile
What you said about the drivers is interesting, I had to reinstall a bunch of those to make the machine work properly. As I understand you recommend going back to a previous version of drivers? Which one exactly do you mean?
    Thanks again for your help.

Actually I recommend that you have the latest drivers, because Windows 10 has a limited amount of device drivers out there as of now. Also, since that is a tablet, its quite difficult to test whether or not you are having issues with the graphics hardware on the Mobo itself.

Also going around doing Google searches, it looks like you aren't the only one having problems with this after the upgrade, morely screen flickering and blanking issues, which could indicate driver issues as well.

Check the lenovo support site for updated drivers, as well as Intel® Support for hardware drivers.

At times like this, if that doesn't solve the problem, it may end up causing you to either revert back to Windows 8.1, or do a clean install of Windows 10
