Windows 10: win 10 drive error

I constantly have the notification to restart fix drive error. it never goes away. ran advanced repair said could not fix. running 10. no of course no back up. wanted to go back to win 8 but cant, and there are no stored files to go back to in restore. actually went a bought the win 8 installation disk ($130!) confirms key then shuts down, says cant install
so how can I get it load my win 8 installation from cd?

How Do I Disable Disk Check at the start (Windows 10)

It's not the Win 10 drive that has errors. It's the Data drive that is IN the computer that all 4 OS hard drives share as each are plugged in. The data drive is a Western Digital and I used WD test software to test it almost 10 times now. The motherboard
is a AsRock N68C-S UCC. Works perfectly with all 4 OS HDs. Data drive works perfect when running under XP, 7, or 8. ONLY Win 10 seems to have an issue with the Data drive. I just want to stop Win 10 from checking for errors on the DATA drive on boot. Win 10
has no issue with it's own OS drive, only the data drive shared with XP, 7, and 8. My question 1 was just out of curiosity if anyone knew WHY Win 10 was doing this. Don't really have to know why, just want it to stop. (Question 2) Thanks.

 

Error code 0x800704C7 on Win 10 upgrade

I've read all the posts about this error code on a Win 8.1 upgrade, but I went from Win 7 to Win 10 and am now getting this error when I try to backup to my external drive. The PC recognizes the drive, and I've checked my permissions on the drive end,
but I can't backup to it. I've run AVG PC cleaner and fixed the registry errors it found with no success in changing the error. Any suggestions will be welcome.

 

First try chkdsk, have to schedule it on next restart. (Admin) Command Prompt copy and paste this, press enter

chkdsk c: /f /r

Then try this at admin command prompt copy and paste this press enter, let it finish
sfc /scannow

After at the same open command prompt, copy and paste this and press enter, let it finish, reboot PC after it does
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth


How did you try to go back to Windows 8, through Advanced options recovery ?

 

it wouldnt let me go through advanced recovery - wouldnt recognize drive - actually i did finally get it installed. i had to go to "compatibility" and revert to win 8, then i was able to install but even though everything on computer was wiped out only 10 of 139 used its sooo slow

 

Not sure what you meant by go through compatibility to revert back. You bought now a Windows 8.1 disc, that what you tried to install right, because your saying revert ? Possibility Hard Drive has issues without trying any of suggestion you went back to trying to reinstall Windows 8.1. Hard Drive could be failing, have bad sectors on the drive or can be issue being recognized by PC.

Hard to be sure as i do not have all the details and the specs of system. Other options we could of tried while still with Windows 10, but you went further now by trying to reinstall older OS back assumed with the new disc.
