Windows 10: Win 10 - Dual monitor and Mouse/System? stutter

Hi,


I have install Win 10 on a new 2700x build with a XFX RX570 video card. I have an issue I am attempting to deal with.


1) The mouse stutters when I extend the desktop to my second monitor. Stutter = moving the mouse, it will freeze for a short time and then move. It does this constantly. Now I think this is system wide, but the mouse is just want caught my attention/focus. I see the same behaviour when typing - letter display in notepad stutters, and behaviour in playing video - play back stutters.


If do not extend the desktop to the second monitor the issue goes away. I have tried the latest drivers for the graphics card, mouse, adjusted settings for the mouse (before I saw the behaviour in the keyboard and video), USB power management, windows update and more I am forgetting.

Dual monitor, Dual mouse??

• How have you setup dual monitors?
• Are you referring to use 2 different mouse/keyboard with the dual monitor setup?

If yes, the mouse or keyboard may function same as one another. Since, it has to be connected to single PC/tower.

However, setting up 2 different mouse/keyboard with the Dual- monitor setup, it may not function separately for each monitor.

Let us know the status of the issue. We will assist you further.

 

Mouse stutter in win 10

Hi all and hopefully Microsoft tech support,

since updating to win 10 pro i have mouse stutter every 2-3 sec for 1 sec.

it is not dependent on system load and only stops if task manager is the active foreground window. after not beeing able to fix it, i did a clean install from usb. the problem remains.

some details:

not mouse dependent(usb, wireless, even trackpad, but not touchscreen)

stutter not always present (85% of the time)

drivers up to date

I have dual monitors, but I was wondering if I can have a mouse and/or keyboard for each. And if so, then how?
