    Win 10 - external Headset MIC issue


    Dear All,since a couple of days we have issues with external headsets or microphones all vendors effected. The microphone from the external device is not working, it is detected in device manager or a app like MS Teams but it is not working e.g. Zoom show the error "there is something wrong with the mic". Doesn't matter if connected via USB or Bluetooth. The speaker works fine also the internal mic from the laptop works. We didn't change anything and last updates are weeks ago. Uninstall latest updates / bios didn't helpWe only fix the issue with a reinstall of whole Windows System but of

    hello,

    so I installed win 10 couple days ago. And the headset mic worked just fine like it did in win 7. And later i got update from win 10 and i cant use my headset mic anymore. I tried uninstalling audio driver and everything i found online and nothing worked.
    The headset im using is iphone 6 headset. Pls help me. I dont want to have to buy new external mic cause i alredy like the mic from apple headset.

    Aviation headset and external mic on E71 series

    All Nokia phones to my knowledge does not have provision of using hardwired external mic, only headset. It is only possible to use an external mic wirelessly thru a bluetooth mic/headset combinations.

    What is the brand/model of the headset mic combo?

    What front panel audio jack(s) do you have? Some are only mic or only headset, some can be either mic or headset whichever is plugged in and some are combination headset/mic.
