    Win 10 from vs 1803 to 1903 fails: "Windows could not configure one or more system...


    Tried numerous time and ways, but in the end, I always get the same result.. when Windows tried to apply the changes, I get the same error message mentioned in the subject line. All my drivers are up to date. There must be an install log that will point to the potential problem, right? What would I be looking for and where.

    Win 10 1803 to 1903 failed at 60% everytime

    Some progress I believe.

    I was able to recover a small system partition. I believe it's "partition 5" in diskpart, and "F" in minitool.

    Win 10 1803 to 1903 update

    My Desktop computer running Win 10 updated from version 1803 to 1903 a while back, but my Desktop running Win 10 version 1803

    I'm assuming the update 1803 to 1903 has now resumed after the earlier problems caused a suspension?

    Any thoughts, suggestions?

    Win 10 1803 to 1903 failed at 60% everytime

    Hello again.

    Since this last post, I've been on with MS support twice (to no effect). I came across another issue, that I believe is probably related, or even the cause of this whole thing.

    Years ago I had a DUAL BOOT on my system, one for Windows and one for LINUX. I've since stripped out LINUX, but the dual boot, which I thought was gone, I believe it causing some havok.

    I noted that I seem to have redundant system partitions and that perhaps during the upgrade, the system is reading from an outdated system partition, which is why I'm getting this error:

    2019-11-13 10:12:15, Error [SetupHost.Exe] IOCTL_STORAGE_QUERY_PROPERTY failed: 0x32
    2019-11-13 10:12:15, Error [SetupHost.Exe] winreGetDiskSignature failed: 0x3

    My "F" drive seems to have outdated entries from 2015 (except from today when I was messing around with bootrec

    Should I delete "F"? It's not listed as an EFI system partition, but rather as a data partition in mini tool.
