Windows 10: Win 10 Home: primary MSFT account address a MSFT 365 Business Standard email address?

Is this combination not allowed? i.e. - must the email address be a personal e.g. outlook.com address or - the Win10 edition be Pro or Enterprise or Education

Old Email Account forcing periodic restart of MSFT apps

I am running Win10 Pro (64 bit) on a desktop Velocity PC and an older Surface tablet, and also have an old HP 8 tablet (Win 10 Home) tied to my MSFT account. I have a license for Office 2016 pro, am using OneDrive and also have a skype account.

I am getting regular alerts on my PC that my security config has been changed and I need to restart my Windows apps. When I try to "fix" my MSFT account, for example in Office 2016, the log-in screen appears with an outdated/updated email address.

That old email address doesn't show up anywhere in my account configurations across all devices and all applications, and is also not recognized as an active MSFT account and it's starting to drive me crazy.

Where can it still lurk? How do I stop this annoyance?

Windows 10 - My primary mail account shows the email address for my Office 365 Account

My main MSA is a Live.com email address.

That's the primary mailbox in my Mail app.

This is the account that I login to the machines with.

I also have an Office 365 account and have connected that in the Windows 10 Mail App.

Both accounts work fine.

I can send and receive email from both.

The Sender and Reply-To addresses are set correctly on Sent Mail.

However

The address listed in the Mail App Outlook Account for my Live account is the Office 365 Account

And, starting with the RTM, I get a prompt in the Mail app every now and then that the @Live account had a problem and needs to be fixed.

Clicking the Fix It button brings up a display stating that the email this account is using doesn't match what it was logged in with.

The suggested fix is to delete the account and add it back.

This can't be done with the Primary MSA.

This error message just started in the last build - 10240 and the RTM.

I've been an Insider since the beginning.

This behavior started a while back.

I thought it would fix itself as the builds progressed.

This issue occurs on all Windows 10 devices I use

1) How do you access the Windows computer? Do you use Microsoft account or local account?

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• 
  Open PC settings, and click/tap on Accounts on the left side.
  
• 
  Click/tap on your account on the right side, click/tap on the More account settings online link at the top of the right side.
  
• 
  If this PC or device is not a trusted device, then you will be prompted to enter and submit a security code sent to your phone or alternate email address.
  
• 
  In Internet Explorer, or your default web browser, click/tap on the Add or change aliases link under Account aliases.
  
• 
  Click/tap on Rename under your (primary alias).
  
• 
  Click/tap on Yes, rename my primary alias.
  
• 
  Sign in to your Microsoft account with your new email address and password. You can close the web browser when finished.
  
• 
  To Create a New Email Address to Use as your Primary Alias
  

• • 
    Select (dot) Create a new email address as your primary alias.
    
  • 
    Select if you want a new hotmail.com, live.com, or outlook.com address.
    
  • 
    Type in a name you want, click/tap on Rename primary alias
    

9. Click/tap on OK.
