Windows 10: Win 10 License transfer.

I have just built a new PC from scratch and would like to transfer the license from the old to new. It was a Win 10 Pro upgraded from a purchased copy of win8 not OEM. It is activated with a digital license linked to my account. I will . not use the old PC afterwards. Have tried the activation troubleshooter but only the old PC shows up. Any suggestions?

i bought the license. My laptop was originally loaded with win 7 and was upgraded free couple of months.

in this case, if i understand you correctly, i can transfer with below steps. Right.?

let me buy my new laptop and try below.

and to my question do you have an update.

does OS upgrades if my activation key is changed.

Transfer Win 10 license to a new PC

Hello,

I bought a new PC and read that I can transfer my Windows 10 license to it and I have a few questions.

Few years ago I used Win 7 Pro license to install my two PC's.

When FREE update came I upgraded both of them to Windows 10 x64 PRO.

Yesterday I assembled a new PC which will replace one of them and I want to transfer the license to it from the one it is replacing.

The question is if I transfer the activation license will I lose the activation on the second PC or not?
