Windows 10: Win 10 licensing: Selling own pc after free upg from Win7 to Win10

I bought a prebuilt desktop from Gateway/eMachines/ Acer Group about 10 years ago that was preloaded with OEM Windows 7.In 2015/2016, I redeemed the free upgrade to Windows 10 on my BIOS/MBR based system No UEFI features.[This gave me a digital entitlement license w/ no real product key.]I would like to sell or give-away my desktop pc, however I feel that if I wipe the harddrive and re-install Windows 10, I would be subject to a couple nagging legalese issues.[[ This is my personal pc, I am NOT a business.]]My issues are the following:Licensing Point A. WIN10 HOMEGROUP not accessible by WIN7 PCs

Hello,

I cannot connect my WIN 7(home) PCs (3 of them) to a homegoup created on a new Windows 10 (home) computer.

The WIN 7 PC see each other without any issue.

Here’s how I proceeded:

• Leave all homegroups on the WIN7 PCs
• Create a new homegroup on the WIN10 pc with the same group
• The WIN7 PCs see the new homegroup
• Click on join and enter password
• After some time I get a message that connection was not possible

I’ve also tried to create the homegroup on a WIN7 pc. The WIN10 pc can see and accept to join but the shares are not visible.

How to transfer the licensed software from Win7 to Win10

Hi Team

I have installed some licensed software on Win 7 64 Ultimate version.

Window always prompts to convince me to upgrade to Win 10.

My concern is my licensed software.

They cost me few thousands dollars.

I am afraid that my software licenses will be lost, the compatibility of Win7 and Win10.

I knew some licenses, like Matlab can be transferred.

But some licenses are not sure.

Any people have such experience about the licensed software.

I am not talking about the Win7 or Win10 license.

Win10 upgrade error from Win7?

I've done that in the past, but often when I've tried a clean Win10 install and then inputted the Win7 license key, it would fail to activate. But, I've found the most reliable way for me has been to install Win7, activate that with the license key using the phone/text system, and then upgrading to Win10 once activated.
