    Win 10 Mail App folders

I've asked a lot of times the following question but no one at MS will answer, so I'm making a new post to see if this can make them respond:

I set up whatever the app is called that comes with Win10 to handle mail no - it's not Outlook, its the Mail app that comes w/Win10 that MS refuses to give a name to. I then linked my Gmail account to it, and the app then imported all my gmail messages, along with the various folders Gmail calls them "labels" I had created to organize my messages and replies.

However, and this is the issue I've been unsuccessfully trying to get Microsoft, or whoever the moderators on this site are to address all the folders are empty. They have tons of messages in Gmail, but not in the Mail app.

Why is that, and how do I fix it so the Mail app updates my folders with the messages that are in them in Gmail? As far as I can see, my only option would be to spend days to manually drag all the messages from my Inbox into the folder or subfolder they should be in. That can't be right. Can someone explain please?

Second question have also asked this one numerous times, but the moderators refuse to answer, when I am using Gmail, the folders it calls "labels" can have subfolders below them. And I can click on a arrow next to the folders to expand and collapse them to show or not show the subfolders. The Mail App also has arrows, but I can't get them to do anything; i.e., the Mail App insists on displaying all the folders, and subfolders.

Is this function broken or not enabled in the Mail App, or is there something I can do to get it to work?

    Thanks

    :)

Mail app will not open on 10041.

    Hello Adam,

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. Win 10 Mail App folders :)

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

Windows 10 mail app crash when emptying folder

    Hi,

In order for us to identify the reason why Windows 10 Mail app is crashing when emptying a folder, we'd like to get the following information:

    • Have you made any recent changes or applied an update to your device prior to this issue?
    • Are you getting any error messages or error codes? If yes, send us a screenshot.
    • What happens when you try emptying a different folder? Does the same issue occur?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?

For initial troubleshooting, we suggest emptying a folder in Windows 10 Mail app using the steps provided in the article below and then check if the same issue will persist:

How do I empty a folder in Mail for Windows 10?

    Looking forward to your response.

    Win 10 Mail App folders

WLive Mail transfer to Win 10 Mail. Want to transfer that into my Outlook 2010 app.

Hi: I just upgraded to Win 10 from 7. I was able to move my primary emails into Outlook 2010 but my storage folders were an issue. I managed to move the storage folders into my msn.com email account along with my calendar. So far so good. When I tried
to get the msn.com account into my Outlook app it told me to close the Outlook program first. Then I was able to add the msn.com emails, storage folders and calendar to what I thought would be the Outlook app but instead it is in the Win 10 mail app. I
find the Win 10 mail app to be a difficult choice and would like to move the calendar, storage folders etc into Outlook. All the messages and what is on the internet say Win 10 Mail/Outlook. But any suggestions for the migration from Mail to Outlook stop
me at the first step for File Export. So how do you migrate emails, calendar and storage folders from Win 10 Mail into the Outlook app. Any suggestions would be appreciated. It just seems like that would be a simple task.

    Tony
