Windows 10: Win 10 - Make my family user account my main account and remove what used to be my main account

When I initially set up my PC with my Microsoft Account, I also set up a family user my own name to login locally. For some reason or other, I stayed logged into in my family user account and have installed all of my programs and have all of my dated with the family user account. I didn't realize this until I went to remove one account which turned out to be the main account. Can I make my family user account my main account and remove what used to be my main account without loosing my programs and access to the data?

Make sure you are using an administrative account when removing the account or log on using the Administrator's account.

Or, if you are patient and know what you are doing, manually remove it.

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

 

Deleting User Accounts

If you can access the admin account through safe mode then all you have to do to remove the other account passwords is go into User Accounts in the control panel and either delete the accounts or, I'm not sure, remove the account passwords.
