Windows 10: Win 10 Multiple desktops

Hello everyone, I want to know how to add different shortcuts in different desktops.

I want to have different shortcuts on different desktops to separate my work and research files. I dont want to see work shortcuts in the main desktop. Is it possible in the new updates?

windows 10 deleted my desktop files

Step 1 - I upgraded to Win 10 and lost all my files on Desktop.

Step 2 - Found the files in Network - USers- Desktop

copied all files again to desktop.

Step 3- Restarted my machine again and lost desktop files again.

Step 4 - As suggested did the following as listed below but dont find my files.

• Press “Windows + E”, open This PC/Computer
• Open Local Disc C, open Windows.old
• Click on Users, select your User name
• Go to desktop folder

Cant find my files. Why is Win 10 deleted files again and again from Desktop ?.

Your suggestion does not work. It did work on Windows 7.

 

Multiple desktops on win10

I have been using multiple desktops on win 10 for a long time using taskview.

For some reason clicking on taskview no longer yields a + sign for a new desktop.

I have also been using win 10 snap.

Can using snap mess up multiple desktops?
