Windows 10: Win 10 Password reset now can't log in- Microsoft account/pin

I was stuck in a loop booting to safe mode. My user account is attached to a LIVE logon and a PIN instead of password. I followed a guide on how to reset the password. I did that but was still blocked so I was able to create a new user. Now I am unable to log in with my account because it says RPC failure. I think that's because it's no longer able to connect to Microsoft.

How can I undo this and regain my access to that account?

New Laptop...cannot get passed signin screen in Win 10 Home

Just received a new laptop with Windows 10 Home installed...for over a week we have not been able to log in:

Pin is not recognized or password is not recognized - have not been able to reset pin and or change/try a new password

Laptop manufacturers tech support says it's a Windows 10 issue...so do scores of internet post on multiple forums/sites

The user has a registered Microsoft account (Passport ?) and it recognizes the laptop but we have tried to get help there but no joy so far...

If I can't login with a pin...and can't login with MS account password...how do I get this never used Win 10 Home laptop to let me use it...can not even get to settings...because we can't even get to Windows !!!

Can you access your Microsoft account from another PC and check/reset your password from there?

 

Password works from other PC's. I now can log in 80% of the time. Sometimes it gives me RPC errors. I tried to switch from a Microsoft account to a local account and it's throwing this error " your microsoft account wasn't changed to a local account 0x800004005"
