Windows 10: Win 10 Phone Link app automatically adds my name as a recipient in text message...

I have Win 10 PC with the Phone Link app synced to my Android mobile. When I send a text message via the phone link app to 1 recipient, Once sent, the app then shows this recipient's name in the conversation, but also automatically adds my name to the conversation so 2 names now listed as recipients. If I then send a further text message in that conversation, I get a text message alert on my mobile as my name had automatically been added when sent from Phone link. Note - when I check the text messages on my Android mobile, only the intended recipient is shown which is how I want Phone Link

When I test on my Lumia 920 by sending to an email address and a phone number, the phone gets the text or the picture, but the email does not. The email will only get a message if I send only to email addresses, with no phones included. It was recently
updates to OS 8.0.10517.150, but I tried this before the update and had the same problem.

This is the one feature keeping my wife from moving from the Samsung Galaxy S4 (which she hates in many ways) to the Nokia Lumia 1020. Is there some trick to making it work?

Phone Link app missing text messages

In Phone Link make sure your phone shows Connected. If it is Offline, click on

to try to resync the phone with Phone Link.

 

Can't add recipients to a message on 5800 XM

I have a problem with adding recipients to a new text message on my 5800XM.



When i go into the new text message screen and try to add recipients it takes me to the contacts list with the small boxes on the left of the screen. So far this is normal and normally you would select all the people you want to send a message to then hit
ok thus adding them to the new message screen.



But as soon as i pick a person in my contact list it flips me straight out of the contacts list and back into the new message screen and doesn't add the name either. So I can't send a text message in the normal way or add several contacts as it will just
keep flipping me out of the contacts list without adding anyone.





Any ideas what is happening or how to fix this issue?

I've already tried a factory restore.
