Windows 10: Win 10 Printing fail before and after "FIXES"

Several Win 10 PCs failed printing functions after updating to v 1903. Printing to any printer fails.

One network printer, two local printers; HP and EPSON; no test pages print to any of them. Web management to network printer, ping response. Patches specifically applied:


KB4524147 10/4/19

KB4517389 10/9/19


All available Windows updates have been applied.

All printer and print drivers deleted; new drivers downloaded; no test pages print.

All printer and print drivers deleted; installed with OS built-in drivers; no test pages print.


Is there an unpublished fix or update to resolve persisting print problems on Win 10 v1903 systems?


Any advice/suggestions?

Printing to XPS fails on Windows 10

I can understand the inconvenience caused to you. I would be glad to help you.

I would suggest you to refer the below steps and check if it helps.

• 
  Search for Device Manager, or do Win + R and then
  DEVMGMT.MSC.
  
• 
  Go to 'Print queues' then uninstall both the PDF and XPS print queues.
  
• 
  Search for 'Advanced Printer Setup', or look this option in the Control panel.
  
• 
  Select 'The printer that I want isn't listed', in the next window choose 'Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings', select 'Use an existing port:' then in the dropdown select 'FILE: (Print
  to File)'.
  
• 
  In the next window, it will appear a list. Select Microsoft then in the second list select 'Microsoft Print to PDF' and next.
  
• 
  Select 'Replace the current driver' and then next
  
• 
  Give the printer a name (I suggest the original name) then next and it shall reinstall the printer and its driver.
  
• 
  Repeat the process but now instead of selecting 'Microsoft Print to PDF' in the list, select the XPS one.
  
• 
  Restart and see if it prints now.

win 10 device unable to print

Hello,

I followed Your steps, but it said no physical printer installed. then added Via add printer wizard

and fixed all spooler issues, But still not able to print.

Cannot print from network printer in Win 10

I did all of the things suggested without success. From printer properties, print test page, I continue to get the following message from both of my networked computers: " Test page failed to print. Would you like to view the print troubleshooter for assistance?"

The troubleshooter fails to recognize any problems, and the other steps you recommended also failed so far. Any further suggestions?
