    Win 10 Pro 10.0.17763 File Explorer Status Bar is gone


    Changing "Show status bar" in advance settings does nothing.


    The reg key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced is set to 1.


    I recently did a "repair upgrade" because system seemed slower than it should be, other issues. Status bar was gone after the repair upgrade.

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK

    The Status Bar gone in File Explorer in latest Insider Preview builds! *Mad

    It's still in the registry and it's enabled for Explorer in the registry but it does NOT show any more! *Confused

    I have been used to using this for decades like many other users so why did Microsoft remove/permanently disable it? *Mad

    I cannot see why they would want to do that! *sarc
