    Win 10 Pro - I have BSOD -

On my WIN 10 Pro PC, I have BSOD - Driver IRQL Not Less or equal - iaStorE.sys - Has anyone found a fix for this nuisance problem that happens from time to time. I have exhausted my brain. PC is fully updated. On this occasion, the PC had been running for about half an hour, when I left it unattended for 15 minutes. When I came back,, these it was; a BSOD.I had not been doing anything different to what I usually do - checking my Emails in Outlook 2016 - I cannot associate that.Thank You,Owen Carlton

Win 10 BSOD after reducing number of CPUs

    • Win 10 x64 running in VMware Fusion VM on MacBook Pro w/ 6 physical cores & HT.
    • When VM is configured with 5+ CPUs, Windows runs fine.
    • When VM is configured with 4 or fewer, BSOD INVALID SYSTEM CONFIG INFO
      • WINLOAD.EFI missing or corrupted
      • Attempt to repair using ISO image fails
    OS X 10.15.4, VMware Fusion Pro 11.5.3

    Win 10 Enterprise

    Version 1703

    Build 15063.2108

Any suggestions appreciated, as I need to move this VM to another HW config with fewer physical CPUs.

    Thanks!

    BSODs in WIN 10, Pro

I have attempted this method several times on different days. It did not work for me. I only get an orange screen with white vertical stripes and a flashing cursor in the upper left corner.

I installed Win 7 Pro on a new hard drive and am able to access the Win 10 drive through My Computer. This has allowed me to access the programs and files on the Win 10 drive.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks,

    BSODs in WIN 10, Pro

Somewhere in this thread, the transition of problems has been shifted.

1). I started this because I was getting an inordinate amount of BSODs on my Win 10 drive for various and sundry reasons. I printed out the possible solutions and gave them an attempt. This resulted in the previously described "Orange screen with vertical
white lines and a flashing cursor in the upper left corner".

All of this started after upgrading drivers for my Realtek, on board audio, Trend Micro Antivirus+ 10 and updating my system BIOS. I worked with ASUS tech support to get the audio working properly again by rolling back the Realtek drivers and BIOS to earlier
    versions.

2). The loss of the WIN 10 drive to the orange screen was the main reason for the posts. The Win 10 drive was cloned to a 1TB WD Black HDD during the fall of 2015. It took several attempts and the support of EaseUS tech support to get a viable clone.

3). The Win 7 Pro install was done to allow access to the Internet. I had access to the Win 10 drive via "MY Computer" which listed all drives. By accessing the Win 10 drive in a separate window, I was able to transfer my important files and programs to
the Win 7 drive. Tedious, but mostly accomplished.

4). Although I am getting some sporadic BSODs on the Win 7 drive, it is the Win 10 drive that I would really like to get operating properly.

5). The "Orange Screen" is no longer a problem at this time. When I booted the Win 10 drive a couple of days ago, frustration set in, again. The "short boot sequence" recommended by an earlier post was not working. So, I began pushing the "F" keys. When
F6 was pushed, I was given a Blue Screen with boot options that included Safe Mode with CmdPrompt. This allowed me to check for operation of "Verifier". According to the screen, it was not operating. After repeated checking, I exited. At this point, Win
10 started. Still getting some BSODs, but they are happening while I am away from the computer.

5a). The Win 10 drive boots normally, now.

If I have not been clear on this sequence of events, I am sorry. Old age is creeping in on me (70 last week). Feel free to ask me to repeat any instructions previously offered. I will struggle through.

I will not perform any further efforts at troubleshooting the Win10 BSODs until guidance is offered here.
