Windows 10: "Win 10 Setup Choosing What to Keep" won't let me keep my files!

I upgraded to Win 10 Pro while in the insider preview on the Beta ring, I believe, a long time ago. Because my version is 21061 I got an email on the 31st stating I HAD to update. Got that email Saturday the 1st and been here ever since. Very upset that because I'm Win 10 Pro, I cannot save my files and settings because that's not the version that came with my laptop. What the point of upgrading is I'm not sure, but do I let go of Win 10 Pro just to update to the Win 10 Home insider preview? In this process, I completely wiped my backup external drive because the ISO I downloaded went to that drive instead of the other flash drive I had plugged in. I'm really at my wits end.....

Windows 10 won't let me log in at startup and it has been running fine for over a year before

We suggest that you perform a reset on your Windows 10 machine. When you reset your PC, you have the option to keep your files or remove them. For steps on how to perform a reset, see the steps below:

• On the sign in screen, click on the power button, press and hold on the
  Shift key, and then click on Restart.
• After the restart, select Troubleshoot.
• Select Reset this PC and choose to keep your files.

What are the meaning of 3 options under "Choose what to keep" section/step ?

When Upgrading into Windows 10, this step appear. I am in a confusion about the options in this step:

• Keep Windows settings, personal files, and apps
• Keep personal files only
• Nothing

I have 500GB Hard Disk and it has 6 partitions.

I always use C drive(59GB) to setup windows and install others programs and apps.

I use other partitions(D E F G H) to store movies, document, etc etc.. my own files... as you see in this picture below.



I want to format C drive only including all its programs, apps, user data, libraries.

But I do not want to format other partitions (D E F G and H drive).

I want to setup Windows 10 on C drive through upgrading process.

I am running Windows 8.1 pro 64bit

and I hope it will be upgrade into Windows 10 pro 64bit.

So, Which option should I choose ?

If I choose "Nothing", will it format C drive and all other partitions also ?

 

Windows won't let me reset AND keep my files

So a few days back, my laptop asked for a restart after an upgrade and since then, it was displaying the error 0xc0000225.

I managed to create an installation usb to repair my computer. Everything was going fine until it got stuck while resetting.

When I try to boot again, it won't give me the option to keep my files, only resetting deleting everything. Any advice on how to keep my precious files and make windows work again?
