Windows 10: Win 10 startup slow

I can log-in. Though time is slow to complete. Once logged in I have about 2 min before an auto reset. Screen says it cannot access sense serrvice. I need help to sort this out.

Slow running anniversary win 10 up date

win 10 runs slow after update.

typing in this box has a delay of approx 10 secs

using task manager delay in showing views, very slow in showing startup in excess of 20 secs

slow to fill in pop up windows when selecting options in programmes

I have made no changes to hard or software

hi. recently installed win 10 over win 7 on gateway tower. have 4 users. one seems corrupted ( seemed to have a problem before install--very slow, wouldn't always go online etc. scans show nothing wrong) tried to open and it wouldn't fully load. shut
down computer. win 10 seems to open with last user?!? how do I open with another user or find safe mode on startup?

Could you describe what you mean "2 min before an auto reset" . What resets, are you logged out, does your internet connection reset?

The only thing I could find with sense is the Wi-Fi Sense option. Lets shut this down as a test, you can always turn it back on later, assuming its on.

Open settings, click on Network and Internet, click Wi-Fi (down the left column), at bottom of WI-Fi Sense section shut off "Connect to suggested open hotspots."

lets us know about the the resets and if this change made any difference.

 

When I get past login I have 2 to 3 minutes on the home screen to do something before the circular hourglass comes on screen and blocks any commands I want to use.
Windows sense is a service as I see it. Auto reset is from windows 10 as I have no internet connections to this PC. No others are impacted. Wit if works fine.

Do you have any useful system restore points you can use and have you tried to use them? Or disk images you can use to restore your system to a previous working state? (We strongly recommend this, e.g. Macrium Reflect (free) + its boot medium + external storage for images, so when things go wrong, you have a good chance of recovery without technical help.

Otherwise:

1. Can you please
a. post the exact text of any error message you see
b. Have a look at your event log (event viewer) and see if there are significant messages there and post a screenshot of any that look relevant

2. What happens if you boot to safe mode? Is that ok?
What happens if you do a clean boot? Any difference?

3. Tell us some history.
Can you confirm that Windows was working well, then demonstrated these symptoms?
If so, what may have led to the change?
Or has this happened ever since you installed/upgraded to Win 10?

 

win 10 hung several times so i reinstalled win 7. where can i find win 10 iso?

 

Please have a look at this tutorial. If you do a clean install please delete any OS partitions and allow Windows to rebuild. Please ensure your data is safely backed up off your machine.
