Windows 10: Win 10 suddenly takes about 70GB disk space with no reason

Today when i check my C disk space, i saw it take 109GB. But i remember exacltly yesterday my C is just about 40GB. And i didn't downloaded anything to my local C, even i'm pausing Windows update untill September.


I go to C, and unhide everything: hidden folders, hidden system files and folders. Then select all and check space. But in this step, it told me just 40GB like yesterday. I dont understand why.

Apps & Features taking up 100GB of Disk Space

Hi Microsoft Community,

I have a Surface Laptop that has 120 GB of disk space, and of late notice that Apps & Features has taken up about 100GB of my disk space. When referring to it through Systems/Storage - it shows that App & Features has taken up 100GB, but in referring to
the list of apps listed, there's at most 30GB. What's puzzling is there about 70GB that I am not able to find which app is taking up all that disk space. Have done all the disk/system cleanup and the space wouldn't clear.

One of the possible reasons why your disk space was reduced is due to an unallocated disk space on your partitions. For us to isolate your concern, we suggest that you check your device's partition. To do this, follow the steps provided below:

• Type Computer Management on Ask me anything and press
  Enter.
• Select Storage and click on Disk Management.

Windows 10 copy file to portable disk take double space

my portable disk is NTFS, it not problem from my disk , it not happen on win 7 just on win 10, when i start copy a file, it take on portable
disk a space equal file size but it its continued take space to copy, when copy progress finish take total 2 time space on portable disk,

interesting when it disconnect portable disk and connect again space come back, but now if i want to copy
a file i must have double space of that file size
