Windows 10: win 10 system user 1 account transfer to a new win 11 system to another user 2 account.

I have a windows 10 computer that is used under my account since new, but user is my wife. It has been hers for years now. I bought her a new windows 11 computer and I want to get all her work, files and programs onto the new computer after she registers it under her MS account. I'm guessing a basic backup and restore won't work because of the user account conflict. Is this so? Also, when I gave her the computer, somehow I managed to keep my user account, create her user account, and DELETE THE ADMINISTRATOR ACCOUNT!! I've looked for advise how to get the admin account back or create a new on

authenticated users issue in win 7

hi, i just messed up authenticated users permissions on my my data drive (d drive) in win 7 ultimate while learning. I wanna restore it to default authenticated user permissions. i have three partitions. 1: System (win7:c), 2: Data (d), 3: Second System (win 7: e). I got two accounts: 1 default windows admin account created during installation. 2 standard user account that I created myself after. I messed up the permissions from standard user account. I was supposed to change it for user account.

At this stage I just want to know what are the default authenticated users permissions in win 7 for data drive??????????

Error trying to add new user account in Win 11

I am trying to add a new account on Win 11.

I go to Settings / Other Users / Add Account and get the following error:

Lusrmgr - this snapin may not be used with Windows 10 - use the Accounts Tool in Control Panel

I updated from Win 10 to Win 11 so suspect part of that upgrade has not worked as it should.

Any suggestions as to how I can fix this?

 

Multiple User Accounts in Win 10

Am running Win 7 Pro with two (2) User accounts on the PC. If I upgrade to Win 10, will both User Accounts carry forward into Win 10?
