  1. Win 10 Task Manager

Since upgrading to Win-10 I can no longer see, in the Task Manager, what specific Excel sheets my numerous Excel sessions cover.

In previous windows versions, if you had several Excel sessions (or other programs) open, then you would be able to see the name of the sheet that was open in each session. This helped a lot when Excel sheets breaks down, and you need to know what specific sheet has crashed. Since upgrading to Win-10 the Task Manager now just shows each Excel session that is open, with no reference to the name of the sheet in that session.

I can’t find anywhere to turn this on, so can anyone help me find this feature again?

    :)

  2. Windows 10 Task Manager to Get GPU Utilization Tab

same here, I don't think they will put all that information in task manager. It would be a pretty biog change that would need a lot of work to do.

Windows 10 - cannot add exec to Startup in Task Manager

I purchased a new computer with Windows 10 already installed. I am trying to add an exec to the startup list but Win10 will not accept it. The exec runs successfully on my Windows 10 machine if I start it manually.

Steps I've taken: Task Manager, Startup Tab, File>Run New Task. (browse to location, select.) It will start immediately, but does not show up on the list to autostart, nor does it start on reboot.

    Any suggestions?

Win 10 Task Manager - Startup list - numbers next to items

Oh, that's interesting! I never in a billion times ten years guessed it meant that!

This is what I see in my TM startup list:

End Task Without Task Manager: Some Users may not know this wee tidbit of info. Tasks can be ended from the taskbar jumplist. Here's how:> Settings > System > For Developers > End Task & toggle it ON. Now, End Task will be on the jumplists.Cheers,Drew...
