    win 10 taskbar folders

    Hi,
I have about two dozen applications on my win 10 taskbar and I would like to combine them into several folders to un-clutter the taskbar. So, when I click on a folder, the apps inside pull down and I can select one.
    Is that possible?
    Thanks,
    Ed

    :)

Not sure about any little house icon on the right end of the taskbar,

Win-10 same as win-7 should have a yellow folder icon on the left side of the taskbar.

Or might be on the center just to the right of the Cortana search box.

File Explorer in Windows 10 64 bit

How can I persuade File Explorer to always open with the folder I want it to, in Win 10 64 bit, from the taskbar?

To my knowledge you cannot sort pinned Taskbar items into folders. However this may be possible with Toolbars. Just right click on the Taskbar and hover over Toolbars then click on New Toolbar. You'll then be prompted to select a folder, you can either create a new folder for your shortcuts and sort them into sub-folders or link it to the pinned Taskbar folder you already have and sort them there.

The end result will be the name of the folder you selected at the right end of the Taskbar, when you click on that you should see your sorted sub-folders and App shortcuts.

For reference the location of the pinned Taskbar items (if you don't know it already) is:
    • %AppData%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar
