  1. Win 10 update 1709 to 1803 stops 2 installed cards working

I have received two updates for my Win 10 home for 1709 tp 1803. Each time my installed Creative X-Fi card is completely unusable despite a full reinstall of the appropriate software. This is also the case of my TBS television viewer card which also stops working. I have rolled back the update twice and don't wish to spend my life watching Microsoft fooling about with my system.

Now these two cards are more important to me that Windows 10 and all its useless apps.

If this continues I shall be forced to revert to Win 7. The other alternative will of course be to use a different operating system which I am now seriously considering.

    :)

Creative X-Fi Soundcards and Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709 = Complete Disaster / Not Working

Thank you for trying to help , i did tried your suggestion but it did not work :/ , nothing seems to make it work on Windows 10 Fall Creators Update 1709. In the meantime i have bought a new SoundBlasterX AE-5 and it did installed flawlessly , no problems whatsoever. it is up to Creative ( drivers ) and Microsoft ( bug fix ) to fix this huge bugs with Audio.

    Kind Regards: Chispy

  4. Win 10 update 1709 to 1803 stops 2 installed cards working

Following Win 10 Update (1803): Unable to print (Printer offline message).

    Printer Samsung ML2950 Series.

I have followed all the suggestions here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4027397/windows-10-fix-printer-problems

None of them fix the problem.

The printer is working fine. Another WIN 10 computer on the network is able to print to the printer without issue.

    Latest updates:

    • WIN 10 1803

    and

    • Security Update for Adobe Flash for Win 10 1803 KB4338832

I uninstalled KB4338832 and the problem persists, so I presume that the problem is with the 1803 update (as that took around 2 hours to install, I'm reluctant to uninstall it to test it).
