Windows 10: Win 10 update 1903 - No sound

Discus and support Win 10 update 1903 - No sound in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; Latest version of update loaded fine but without sound.     Win 10 update 1903 - No sound


    Latest version of update loaded fine but without sound.

    I have a Creative SB X-Fi Extreme music sound card and 5.1 surround sound speaker array.

    Computer sees a card but will not access.

    Says driver is latest version and nothing newer available

    Creative confirms this.

    This problem has happened before with earlier Win10 upgrades but driver updates have solved the problem within a few days.

    I like this sound system so prefer not to replace it.

    Anyone know a solution?

    Win 10 1803 to 1903 update

    My Desktop computer running Win 10 updated from version 1803 to 1903 a while back, but my Desktop running Win 10 version 1803

    I'm assuming the update 1803 to 1903 has now resumed after the earlier problems caused a suspension?

    Any thoughts, suggestions?

    I tried all suggestions up to upgrading to 1903 from

    step 1 in fixes. I also tried step 2. None of the fixes

    solved the problem. I am not willing to upgrade to

    1903 - not during the first month of availability! Do

    you take me for a fool? Windows Update continues

    to be the most unreliable component of Win 10.

    I'm Stefano an Independent Advisor, here to help you.

    I suggest you to follow this steps once upgraded to Windows 1903:

    1. Press WINDOWS + X

    2. Click on "Device Manager"

    3. Click on "Audio controller"

    4. Right click on your SB X-Fi Extreme

    5. Click on "Uninstall device"

    6. Click on "Detects Hardware change" (monitor icon)

    Then check if the sound then works.
