Windows 10 Update - error 0x8007003

I've tried going through the guide in the support article, but I am still having issues. Firstly, I can't really get past Step 2, because it is the most recent version of Windows 10 that I am unable to install. I've tried running the troubleshooter linked
in Step 3, but I am still unable to download and install Windows 10 due to error 0x8007003.

Windows 10 Update - error 0x8007003

My computer has attempted to update to the latest version of Windows 10 many times over the last few weeks, and it fails every time due to an error 0x8007003. I have attempted some basic troubleshooting techniques that I have found in the forums, but nothing
has seemed to help. The computer's processing speed has also ground to a halt in the last few days. Please help!
