Windows 10: Win 10 update gone badly wrong

Dell Inspiron laptop. Another update, endless blue screen, please wait etc., finally ending up with usually login, new background picture, but now I can’t log in.Pin not recognised, nor Microsoft user / pass. Clearly a problem with laptop as I used the same log in details to access this site. Cannot boot to safe mode either so I propose trying booting from a disk, but will that help? Desperate not to lose files.Most of the solutions I’ve read so far require going on line, but that’s clearly not possible.I’d be most grateful if you could advise.Thanks in advance.

I have a badly working Surface with Win 10

Hi... I have a badly working Surface with Win 10.. MS support have abandoned me, suggesting I exchange my unit with them for £500. As the initial issue arrived after a win update. I still believe there is nothing wrong with the hardware. I would now like to completely reformat my Drive, everything and then boot for a USB stick.. Will this be a real clean reinstall, or will some hidden files still be lingering?

 

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.

 

The Ultimate Realtek HD Audio Driver Mod for Windows 10

Hey Dj Urko, I am trying to install the realtek driver and I get the error 0x0001. I have disabled secure boot and Driver signature. I have the latest win 10 build. What am I doing wrong? Can u post the complete list of steps that I have to take? I have an asus z170 with alc1150.
