Windows 10: win 10 update kb5000802 fails to complete after win start up and returns with error...

Hello team microsoft. After several weeks of trying to update kb4601319 and receiving error 0x8800f0922 I decided to hold off re-trying to update win until yesterday due to message that device is missing important updates and fixes. I wasted 8 hours yesterday and again almost all day today trying to get kb5000802 to update. I used the troubleshooter each time - and only twice did it come back and say we changed a few things and so reboot and start process over. I did but still no success accept for one update kb3001652 successfully completed, I keep getting to 100% complete on update and in the next instant the message on screen we arent able to complete changes and are undoing. this process is so so time confusing and frustrating even though it maybe something simple that I havent done, To me nothing is simple when you are not tech savy.


I have had a number of computers since the 80s and never ever had to worry about do anything for an automatic computer update. Everytime I look for help sites on this particular error - i find that it is an easy fix and yet there maybe 8 to 10 different fixes with no guarantees. I am not tech savy nor young and don't want to have buy another laptop just because win team did an update that is not easy for me to fix. Please help with a single fix or make the update smaller so that it goes thru. I have 860 Gig left on my C drive so i dont think space is problem. 8 gig ram intel i-5 I dont have much on my system outside of office 2013 and quicken and my hp laptop is about 3- 4 years old.

Win 10 Completes Install But Returns to Win 7

Downloaded/ran Windows10Upgrade9252.exe. Goes all the way through the verification process. Starts installing Win 10. Win 10 "installs" or gets to 100%. Next thing I know screen goes black with Restoring to Original OS at the bottom!

New PC. First time use stuff completed.

All updates that were available for Win 7 Home Premium have been done (SP1 installed). Shows Windows activated.

No Win 10 Update Icon, but why the notification that Win 10 is being installed then return to Win 7?

I followed your suggestions (2nd Aug 19) for installing Win-10. Made the bootable flash drive successfully through the media creation tool. But when I attempted to upgrade and activate to Win-10 (64 bit) from within Win-7 (Pro-32 bit), I got the following error message:

Error # OxC1900101-Ox20017. " The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during BOOT operation"

I read the diagnostics under this error number and carried out the proposed fixes, i.e. update Win-7, uninstall Malwarebyte antivirus, disconnect all external hardware, e.g. printer, scanner, external hard drives. I then tried to repeat the steps to do the upgrade through the Win-10 bootable flash drive as before. Got the same error message.
Appreciate any further comments and suggestions as to (a) what does a failure in the SAFE_OS during boot operation mean, (b) what can I do to solve it. Is this anything to do with the hardware in my computer? I listed these in my first posting above.

Win 7 update error??

Im running win 7 home prem and until now all the updates are working fine untiol i got to this one; Update for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB976098) Download size: 482 KB.

every time i go to install it i get an error code {80080008} + {WindowsUpdate_dt000}

and obviously it fails, its getting really annoying now but was wondering if anyone has had the same issue or knows of a fix*Confused

Ive left a screenshot of the error in an attachment, any advice would be great thanks peeps??
