Windows 10: WIN 10 UPDATES ARE OVERRIDING MY ACTIVE HOURS - HIJACKING MY COMPUTER WHILE I WORK

I have active hours set. Enabled "metering" and still Windows 10 updates keep coming. They violate my active hours and paralyze my work. I've spent a lot of time online trying to learn how to defeat it. Many others have this problem. Microsoft - please stop this. Pleae observe active hours that are set. Stop DOWNLOADING while I'm working because it slows my work.

I have set my "Active Hours" to 8 am - 10 pm and still, windows updates during this time leaving my computer completely useless. I am so frustrated with this. I NEED ACCESS TO MY COMPUTER FOR WORK! There are too many days I try to use the computer and
it seems to be completely hijacked (sometimes for several hours at a time) by an update. What's the point of active hours if your system ignores it?

 

Windows 10 Anniversary Update Active Hours Questions?

Hi Guys,

Some questions about Active Hours in regard to the Windows 10 Anniversary Update:

1.) My Active Hours are 9am to 9PM. An update is scheduled for tonight outside of Active Hours. The override Active Hours option is NOT turned on, but shows about 9:30 PM. If I do not turn on the override option, is this the time that my computer will
reboot, or will it be any random time after 9PM? (IE. When Active Hours have expired.)

2.) Will I get a system tray notification toaster pop-up before the reboot time, and if so, how far ahead of the reboot time?

After reading what you went through I would strongly suggest you read the advice of Monkey57 and try his steps. Normally

Browser hijackers don't show this kind of behavior and more could be going on. Normally I don't suggest Resetting your computer but in this case....
