Windows 10: Win 10 v. 2004 installation failed

I have three desktops, two of them successfully updated to Win 10 2004. The third one (4 yrs old), currently at v.1903, does offer in Windows Update "Feature update to Windows 10, version 2004 .... When you are ready for the update, select Download and install."

I did that, the installation started, all looked good, but when it was over, I was still on v. 1903.

Is there a log or something where I can find out what went wrong? Anything else I should try?

Win 10 2004 update No AMD graphics

Before upgrading anything else to 2004, I would suggest checking out the current Known Issues list.

Thank you for your reply.

• I could not find the *dump files, I don't think I enable it,
• I will work on the MSinfo file and the Specc files when I have more time in hand.

Questions:-

• you're suggesting that I should install the V.2004 and let it crash (if it'll crash)?
• since there is no .dump file exist (or I couldn't find one), the troubleshooting still good just using the MSinfo and the Specc files that reflects my current system state (V.1909)?

Hyper-V Fails to Install on Windows 10 v.1909

Like the title says, Hyper-V fails to install on Windows 10 v.1909. [OS build 18363.592] It's a mystery to me, because I successfully installed and used Hyper-V on earlier versions of Windows.

Yes, I've got the necessary hardware and BIOS support (I successfully installed and used Hyper-V on earlier versions of Windows) and there are no other hypervisors currently installed. I disabled my anti-malware software (the same brand that I was using when I previously installed Hyper-V) and added the feature from an Administrators user account.

This may be a clue: Event Viewer only has one entry made at the time I tried to install Hyper-V, but it makes no sense (to me.) It's a 7043 Service Control Manager event that says the Hyper-V Virtual Machine Manager did not close following a pre-shutdown command, but I don't even have Hyper-V Virtual Machine Manager listed as a service.

If it matters (doubt it) the install failed at 98% and, of course, Windows rolled back any changes.

I'm open to any suggestions as to what I can try to get Hyper-V to install. Thanks for your help.
