  1. Win 10 v 2004 puts the kibosh on settings and other things

I have much the same problems as ThomasWood7 posted about Settings app just flashes and immediately closes, windows search box won’t accept input and a few others system fonts look much smaller, if an app is open and running on task bar, can no longer right click on it to close. My Win10 version is 2004, and all these problems started when I updated to that version.

I have followed the steps suggested by JohnDeV in the ThomasWood7 thread: the System File checker options and the PowerShell methods. In all cases, the tools appeared to work; the scans detected corruption, and the tools reported successful repair/replace. Yet after re-starting, my symptoms are unchanged. What now?

    Thanks

    :)

Blue Screen after upgraded to V.2004

    Hi Paul,

    Thank you for your reply.

    • I could not find the *dump files, I don't think I enable it,
    • I will work on the MSinfo file and the Specc files when I have more time in hand.
    Questions:-

    • you're suggesting that I should install the V.2004 and let it crash (if it'll crash)?
    • since there is no .dump file exist (or I couldn't find one), the troubleshooting still good just using the MSinfo and the Specc files that reflects my current system state (V.1909)?
    Thanks again!

  4. Win 10 v 2004 puts the kibosh on settings and other things

Feature Update Win 10 Pro 2004

The Feature Update Win 10 2004 appears to have installed successfully on my computer.

It is listed in Settings, System, About.

However, the Update has wiped out all of my previous Windows Update, View Update History which is now blank.

Moreover, the Feature Update Win 10 2004 itself is not listed in Settings, Update and Security, Windows Update, View Update History.

    Is this important?

And if so, how can it be repaired?

    Thanks.
