I know there is already a thread opened about this error but I cannot fathom how to join it nor reply. In any case, that thread appears to deal mainly with the system partition size which doesn't apply to me.So, what do users do who have chosen to run Windows without that partition? It works perfectly well as Win10 is mainly using XP programming with some tweaks to make it more user unfriendly, which is why you get some 10 and some XP functions side by side. This method allows me to create and restore manual partition backups when the Windows backup and imaging methods do not work and Windows

Windows 10: Error 0x800f0922 for 2020-01 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1909 for x64-based

    Hi,

There seem to be quite a few people reporting this particular Windows Update error. There are also lots of posts for solutions to the 0x800f0922 error occurring with past Windows Updates.

I've tried all the suggestions I have found:

    • Turn off firewall
    • Turn off the VPN Connection -> I don't use one.
    • Run the Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) tool and then the System File Checker tool (SFC.exe) -> which reported "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations" (suggested
      here
      )
    • Reset Windows Update Components (suggested here)
    • Checked .NET Framework is fully enabled in Windows Features (see here)
    • Even deleting the contents of %temp%

To no avail. So the thing that is left, and which is most commonly suggested, is to increase the size of the System Reserved partition above 500MB. Problem is I don't have one:

Win 10 x64 0x800f0922 Update Error: No System Partition Installed dc29a1c3-f77e-4fba-850e-03e934c4f3f3?upload=true.png

I have BitLocker turned on on the two Windows partitions (BOOTCAMP and DATA), so the encryption keys must be stored somewhere, but not in the System Reserved partition (which is where I gather they are usually held).

I have a new MacBook Pro and have recently used the Boot Camp utility to create a new partition and install Windows 10 Pro (Version 1909) on it - offering dual boot. The Windows install did not create a separate System
Reserved partition. As you will see above there is the EFI partition, a 330GB Mac OSX partition, the OSXRESERVE partition which Mac OSX creates to install the Windows 10 (and which I read is supposed to be deleted afterwards, but often isn't) - and then the
Windows system partition (BOOTCAMP) and an extra DATA partition I created.

So where do I go from here with the 0x800f0922 error - could it still be a "space" issue on one of the other partitions? The EFI partition?

Any suggestions would be very welcome.

    Thanks.

    Julian

Win 10 x64 0x800f0922 Update Error: No System Partition Installed

    2022-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 21H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5011487) - Error 0x800f0922

2022-03 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 21H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5011487) - Error 0x800f0922. EFI System Partition has 100 MB and Recovery Partition has 1000 MB. Made sure all .NET Frameworks are enabled but this issue still continues. Should I just make the EFI partition larger or if not what else should I do to prevent the error from occurring?
