Win 11: Bluetooth Malfunction-Only Uninstalling & Restarting Works Temporarily

I bought a new Alienware 18 a few months ago running Win 11 Pro. Since that time, the Bluetooth will work for a short time a week at most and then stop working. In Device Manager it shows the “!” and all BT entries are missing. I have done the troubleshooter but it cannot solve the problem. I have looked on this community for answers but none of them solve the issue. The drivers are up to date, Win 11 has all of its updates. This is not an issue with the recent update to Winn 11 Version 24H2 as it was doing this before that update. The only thing that will work is to uninstall the Bluetooth

Bluetooth is not working — troubleshoot claims I don't even have it

I have done all the following steps:

    - installed bluetooth driver from manufacturer
    - hit windows update
    - updated / uninstalled bluetooth items listed in Device Manager and restarted the PC
    - updated / uninstalled USB drivers listed in Device Manager and restarted the PC (USB drivers automatically came back but not bluetooth)
    - turned on and restarted all bluetooth support in services.msc
    - conducted bluetooth troubleshooting
    - conducted hardware troubleshooting

In that case I suggest you uninstall the Bluetooth device by follow the below steps.

    Step 1:

Go to search box next to Windows icon and type Device Manager then click to open it.

    Step 2:

    Under Device Manager expand Bluetooth

    Step 3:

Right-click on Bluetooth listed device and select Properties

    Step 4:

    Select the Drivers tab

    Step 5:

    Click on Uninstall Device

    Step 6:

    Restart PC and verify

Let me know the status after performing the above.

    bluetooth not working

    Hi Mohit,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Community.

We appreciate your interest in Windows 10.

    Please share the details.

    • Have you updated your Bluetooth adapter driver?

As Bluetooth stopped working it is a Bluetooth driver issue on the system so I would suggest you to update the Bluetooth drivers and check whether the issue get fixed.

If not, please try the troubleshooting steps below by Uninstall and Reinstall the BluetoothDrivers method.

    Step 1: Uninstall the BluetoothDrivers.

    a. Press 'Windows Logo + X' keys on the keyboard.

    b. Click on Device Manager from that list.

    c. Search for the BluetoothDrivers from the device list, right click on it and then select Uninstall. On the un-installation window, if you have an option: Delete the driver software for this device, you may select that and then remove the corrupted drivers
    from the computer.

    d. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and then restart the computer if prompted.

    e. After the restart, please go ahead with the next steps to install the latest drivers and check if that resolves the issue.

    f. Update Driver Software from the Manufacturer’s website.

Step 2: Go to the manufacturer’s website and search for the latest Windows 10 drivers available for the BluetoothDrivers and then install it by following the instructions given in the website.
