Windows 10: Win 11 Compatibility

Just wondering if anybody can advise why my Win Pro version 21H2, build 19044.1348 doesn't meet Win 11 system requirements due its ICore i5-6600K CPU 3.5 GHz CPU not being supported. The Windows Supported Intel Processors list hasn't been updated yet to include version 21H2 but prior to this update being installed this week when I previously ran the health check it still failed due to the CPU not being supported, despite it clearly being on the list Windows 10 21H1 Supported Intel Processors. I know MS have released a work around to enable Win 11 to be installed on installations with an unsupp

You do not need to reply to me. You can post in this thread to get the benefit of everybody's wisdom. Such as that of Bree who has also read the Windows 11 section of Windows Processor Requirements - MSDocs and has identified that your CPU is not listed there.

Win 11 compat app

Both your CPU and graphics card should be ok- your CPU is on the list:
Windows 11 CPU List Released | WePC

and your graphics card is new enough to support DirectX 12.

These requirements are set by the installer of Win 11. Detailed specs for Win 11 have been released by MS and are given in other such threads here and on elevenforum, but may change slightly before official release.

I suggest that, after Windows 11 is released, you keep an eye on ElevenForum for compatibility issues such as workarounds.
