Windows 10: Win 11 Ent - USB device => Chime is heard when inserting USB drive, but not detected by...

Greetings:System, Desktop:W11Ent_x64 22h2 b:22621.4602When inserting any USB stick I tried 10 different of these, I hear the chime, yet, neither Explorer nor Diskmgmt.msc picks the drive up.Inserting the drive into a laptop, it IS detected and usable.The USB gate DOES find my DynaBright ID-Reader and uses it without problem, so I think, the issue is not the USB driver, and certainly not the hardware.When this began is unsure, likely with the same update I had that gives me the Monitor Power Issue that keeps reverting to 10 minutes, which was a week ago, appoximately.Please advice?Thank you:

Motherboard doesn't detect usb 3.0

its enable. I really don't know what happen. Other guy said its a conflit between intel usb 3.0 driver and asmedia usb 3.0. I plug the usb 2 device to usb 3 port and it does detect that drive, but plug usb 3 device to usb 3 port, it doesn't detect. Its weird coz it can detect the usb 3.0 drive when I just finish install win 8.1. After several update, it doesn't detect anymore.

 

USB Device Chimes


Hey Guys,

I recently noticed that I no longer have the 'plugged-in' Chime and 'removal' Chime when using a USB device. I checked my sound settings, in the control panel, and everything appears to be set correctly.

Is there any other settings or anything I need to do to ensure (or turn on) the chimes when plugging in USB devices?

Boot linux on USB drive

it might just be that your bios doesn't support it, but it should anyway.

make sure you go into the bios and make sure "boot other device" is enabled and try seeing if the usb is listed as an hdd.. as bootable flash drives are usually picked up as usb hdd's and check if your bios detects the flash drive.
