Windows 10: Win 11 is not showing me the 6-digit code to pair with the Bluetooth keyboard

Hello, I'm having problems to comment my hp 350 Bluetooth keyboard to my PC running win11. It was working before, I made an update of win 11 and it lost my keyboard. I canceled the old registration of the device, as hp customer's service told me, but anything changed. I succeeded connecting the keyboard to my win10 laptop and to my android phone. Both asked me the 6-digit code to end the procedure, but the pc running win 11 never asks me for that. I wonder this is the problem why it continues telling me connection failed, try again. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you very much.

Using Win 10 - bluetooth keyboard

Your advice did set me off in the right direction, I tried various ways to access the "devicepairingwizard" with no real success, but during the search, I spotted another suggestion similar to yours regarding the "device pairing wizard" being accessed from
as you said, the right click on the start (ie. the windows icon) option, but the "winning point" was not to
use the search for device option but to click the "RUN" the
"devicepairingwizard" and although this took me back to same 3rd time attempt status that I found I was locked like some never ending stalemate ! (Lol)

(ie. The "enter code here" in the new and now visible entry box, Yet still without supplying me a new code)

But... this time the pairing wizard gave me a new pairing code by my clicking on the option to enter a code (written in blue) which is located just
below the "enter code here" box which when clicked gives a new code, but only suggested (as if unsure ?) that I try entering it into the bluetooth keyboard device and press enter, but nothing seemed to be happening although the keyboard was
listed in paired devices rather than available devices, yet when I clicked on it's icon, an option to remove it was the only option available (ie. No connect to or even troubleshoot options listed)

So I turned off the power to my bluetooth device and restarted my laptop and when I returned to the show all bluetooth devices page and I turned the power to the bt keyboard on, it then connected without any further action from me !

Toshiba Satellite (Laptop) ~ Windows 10 ~ (my successful bluetooth pairing installation : 06/08/2018)

"Bluetooth Wireless Devices and Keyboards" + "Where to find the New Device Pairing Codes":

> Right click on the"Windows icon" in the bottom left corner

> click "Run" and

> then type "devicepairingwizard" in search box then

> press enter

> click on your "device name" (or keyboard name) which should be listed in available devices

(in the following page) you will be asked to enter the device's pairing code and to obtain that code...

> click on the coloured writing just below the "enter code here" box and it's pairing code will be shown

(Note : This 6 digit code expires in 5 seconds - if you fail to enter it in time - repeat the above)

> enter the new code "on the bluetooth device" or keyboard then "press enter,
on that same device"

> allow time for pairing (30 secs) keyboard will be listed in your paired devices

> close all programmes

> switch off power to bluetooth keyboard

> restart computer

> go to bluetooth "show all devices"

> switch on power to bluetooth keyboard and it connects automatically to the new bluetooth device

For confirmation : Your "paired bluetooth" devices should now list the keyboard as a "connected" device

 

Can't pair Bluetooth Keyboard with N8

The cell phone paired with another keyboard with no problem.



On that keyboard, I just had to enter the code 0000, or 00000, or 1234 or 12345 on the keyboard and it worked with no problem.



That keyboard was a generic bluetooth keyboard.



This thinkpad bluetooth keyboard has an integrated touchpoint/mouse, and for some reason, my nokia N8 is demanding that I enter a specific code onto the keyboard, which is pretty simialr with all the other devices that my thinkpad connects to.



Again the problem is that the text is so long that it crowds the passcode onto the sixth line of a five line popup window on my N8 that doesn't scroll to show the code.



Other than that the Keyboard pairs perfectly with everything esle. It never is a 0000 1234 code it's always a different random 6 digit code on each device.

 

Onn keyboard bluetooth doesn't lit the pairing light anymore how to reset??
