Win 11 Mail Version 16005.14326.21374.0 ... when I attempt to send mail, mail goes to outbox but just sits there. If I reboot, then reopen Mail app, the mail then actually gets sent. Also 4 draft "copies" of the email are created

Your last reference was to Mailbird- it seems you've reverted to Mail.

The choice of pop3 or imap for receiving mail is up to you.. smtp is a different thing.

Suggest you try sending mail with Mailbird

On a hunch I whitelisted the to and from addresses at each end by putting them into contacts and everything was fine after that (5 minutes later).

As spam is such an issue the settings on many of the mail servers are quite sensitive at the moment, so it's probably best to whitelist your entire contacts directory to minimise issues, and make sure the other end whitelist your email addresses too, putting you into their address book if needs be.

I have only attempted to send mail to addresses within my contacts list. So is there anything else to do to 'whiteleist' my contacts?
The silly part of this is the fact that incoming mails are fine ~~~ just not sending *Sad

 

E mail problem

This is a weird thing going on with my wife's e mail a little hard to explain.
We are with time.Warner/spectrum
I have asked at there sites and searched on lone put no real info.
Windows 10 e mail app is Windows live mail

Ok here we go
I set it all up ports and security and ports it is all working
DownLoads the required folders sends and recieves mail all is good.
It will be working for days even weeks and then all of a sudden the whole account is gone.
All folders emails saved and deleted all gone.
This have happened a few times now at least 4 or 5 times 2 times in the last month.

Is there a virus or malware or something that is doing this. ?
Every time it has happened I do change the password.
She has another account with verizon that still works and have np with.

Any suggestions or advise please
