  1. WIN 11 may lose recognition of headphones while playing media

When playing any media including video and audio, the computer may experience a lag of about 0.5 seconds, followed by the disconnection of connected wired headphones. After this, the computer cannot recognize any headphones, even if they are unplugged then reinserted, or replaced with new ones. In this case, in the "Audio Input and Output" category of the Device Manager, "Headphones RealtekR Audio" cannot be found, and no driver errors were found in the audio driver. If I try to open Realteck Audio Console, it will prompt 'Realteck Audio Console does not support this computer', but in no

  2. Windows Media Player | Refusal to Play through Headphones

    Hi all,

Having an issue with a colleague's windows media player not playing through their headphones on Win 10. The headphones, when set, are the default device, and YouTube and system sounds play perfectly. A separate video player, VCL, is also working correctly and plays sound. (This also does not work with a separate pair of headphones). This is not replicated across devices.

    We have tried:

    - Reinstalling Windows Media Player through apps and features

    - Upping the sound bar at the bottom (not muted)

    - Properties and checking headphones are listed there

    Any clue what's going on?

  3. Cannot play audio CD from Win Media Player

We suggest you try to play the .cda files on another PC that has a Windows Media Player.

In the mean time, kindly try the troubleshooting steps below:

    • Type Default Programs in the search bar.
    • Click Default Programs under Best match.
    • On the pop-up window, click Associate a file type or a protocol with a program.
    • Under Name tab, look for .cda, and check if Windows Media Player is listed
      Current Default program.
    • If not, select .cda then click Change program..., and select
      Windows Media Player.
If Windows Media Player is the default program for .cda files, follow the steps below:

    • Type Troubleshooting in the search bar.
    • On the pop-up window, click Hardware and Sound.
    • Click Windows Media Player DVD.
    • Follow the on-screen prompt to run the troubleshooter.
Let us know how it goes.

    Thank you.

  4. WIN 11 may lose recognition of headphones while playing media

Specific media not physically playing on speakers/headphones

This has been happening ever since I started using my Cloud Core headphones. Occasionally a certain piece of media (for example: a single YouTube video or MP3) Will show as playing with volume in the mixer, but no sound comes out of my speakers. Most media
works, but it's very frustrating to want to view something maybe one time and that specific thing is inaudible.

    Drivers are updated.

Speakers are on, plugged in, and set as default.

Both speakers and headphones work. They do play sound.

Note: This issue only exists on my Chrome browser and Discord (Usually video media). I have no idea why all media is actually audible on Firefox and anything that is stored on my hard drive. Maybe someone can suggest something relating to these.
